Brahmacharya
When I meditated on the subject of brahmacharya this week, I discovered that I was currently depleting my ojas on work. While growing my business is very important to me, I could feel other things falling by the wayside. I had been slacking on the one-on-one time with my son and it was causing us to be at each other’s throats more than normal. I was not connecting with my husband and therefore feeling underappreciated for the things I took time away from work to do for him. I was not paying attention to the food I was putting in my mouth and not getting the nutrients I needed to build my immune system. I really had to sit down and evaluate what part of my work was worth the energy and what currently wasn’t. What is valuable to some of my peers wasn’t really benefiting me and I had to let it go…for now.
This constant state of flux requires us to cultivate awareness of our activities and be prepared to set limits and regulate proportions.

What kinds of things bring you energetic balance?
Here are some things I do to bring me back into balance when I have been working too hard:
*Reading
*Yoga/meditation|
*Quiet time
*A walk in nature
*Listening to soothing music
*Eating healthier
*Being near a water source
*Time with loved ones/friendships that are mutual in energy expenditure
