Dharma
You have heard me use the term dharma in many posts. At the core of the yoga tradition is the idea of dharma or translated as the way, path, law or order. The principal that something holds, or rather a greater intelligence that holds everything together.
Some examples are seen in nature such as the four seasons and the stages of life and development.
We all play a role in the fabric of nature – that is dharma. The more aligned we are with this innate intelligence the happier and healthier we will be.
Our goal is align ourselves with the intelligence of nature adjusting our lifestyle and to be in balance with the world around us. Dharma often translated as purpose is not just your profession, but rather living your purpose in all areas of your life. And understanding our own unique lessons and learning them as quickly as possible is key. If we don’t learn them, nature will keep bringing them back to teach us.
JOURNAL
Consider what lessons you have learned and haven’t faltered on or experienced again? What lessons keep returning in your life that you haven’t learned?
What’s next? Ask this from your deepest, best self without giving into ideas of self-criticism and without others thoughts of you. What are your desires? How would you like to see your life unfold? Meditating and journaling on these things will help you to fulfill your dharma.
