How is COVID Changing Your Life?
How’s everyone holding up?
A few weeks ago I received this email from my mentor and director of my Yoga Therapy Program. I thought I would share her words here. If you haven’t already journaled about your disappointments, challenges, and/or profound reflections, I encourage you to do so. Here is a prompter for those thoughts from my Grief teacher, Antonio Sausys.
“There are pivotal moments, when what we are attached to abruptly goes away, ushering us into an inevitable grieving process revealing what we often disregard: all things are impermanent. This applies to the Coronavirus/Covid19 and the pandemonium it created.” -Antonio Sausys”
Yes, this is a pivotal moment. Instead of desiring to return to normal, can we lean into this moment and see it as an opportunity to reinvent ourselves? Can we take this moment to declare how we want to reshape our reality moving forward? To help with this, Antonio has created a Global Grief Survey to identify and record our insights as we embark on life beyond the pandemic.” Consider this:
- What aspects of your current life altered by COVID would you like to keep going forward in this life?
- What aspects of your current life altered by COVID would you NOT like to keep going forward in the post-pandemic life?
- What aspects of your pre-COVID life would you like to bring back going forward in this life?
- What aspects of your pre-COVID life would you NOT like to bring back going forward in the post-pandemic life?
