Growth Mindset or Fixed Mindset
Do you have a growth mindset or a fixed mindset?
If you don’t know the definition, can you take a guess at which kind of mindset you have? My guess is that you already know. A growth mindset is the belief that through perseverance, dedication, and improving your skills will take your basic talents to a new level. These people view challenges and failures as opportunities to change and do better next time. A fixed mindset as you can imagine is the exact opposite. It is the belief that qualities, talents, and skills are fixed and unchangeable. They believe that their talents alone lead to success and they refuse to develop or improve their skills.
I am going to be honest. There is A LOT about growing my business that I have not wanted to do. But I understand that if I don’t do the things I feel uncomfortable doing, I will never personally grow and my business will remain at the level it is now and that is just not going to work for me. I want more and I believe that what I do can help others and make our communities a better, healthier place.
My ability to work from having a fixed mindset to a growth mindset has changed how I structure my business and how I go about my world. Through this process I have evaluated the amount of my life on earth. I’ve spent so many years being scared. Fearing things that may or may not ever come to fruition. Fearing things that my mind created, but were in no sense reality, and then allowing my mind to make those perceptions a reality.
Years ago I chose to change my mindset and to look forward to the continuing to grow, not in just my personal life, but my business.
Ideas for Working on Your Growth Mindset
This year I choose:

-consistency
-happiness
-abundance
-gratitude
-accept both criticism and compliments
-compete against myself, not others
-turn problems into opportunities
-authentic, rather than perfect
-embrace change
My goals are:
-continue to challenge my public speaking on Improving Healthcare with Yoga Therapy at more venue
-grow and improve my knowledge of business, business applications, and the how to’s of growing my business in all ways possible
-raise my rates and value my worth
-continue to grow more business in Huntsville with mighty courage and the open wealth of opportunity just waiting at my fingertips
