Intentions for the Future
Summer is already ending and it’s possible you are resetting your routines for the next season, as I am. This got me thinking about intentions.
At the beginning of a yoga class you may hear a teacher say “Set an intention for this class.” But what is the purpose of an intention? How can it help you?
Intentions are powerful. We can use them as a way to set boundaries, to decrease stress in our lives, and to take back some control in our lives. An intention is a focus on something. It can help hold you accountable, help you to manifest something into being, change your mood, reinforce your goals, and help provide you with clarity.
If you are like me, you might be feeling some major burnout while living in what feels like the 100th month of this COVID never-ending time warp. You may feel like you need to start conserving energy in different ways, protecting yourself and your families from the negativity and the fear. You may feel you need to say no a little more often or you may need to re-evaluate your businesses or major life decisions that feel overwhelming. An easy way to move through your feelings and life’s challenges is to ask yourself, “what is my intention for doing this?” Clarifying the why, the intention behind something will help you focus on the present moment, help you live by your values, and raise your energy and frequency to get the life and the result you desire. With that said, I would like to share my intention with you of the future of Phase 1 of Waterfall Yoga Therapy and Retreat Center.
Waterfall Yoga Therapy and Retreat Center will be a haven designed to promote growth, awareness, and personal discovery through the teachings of yoga. With an opening goal of winter 2022, Waterfall Yoga Therapy will begin to host private and couples sessions, educational workshops, meditations, & small group workshops. This home studio will include serene space that will fit up to 6 yoga mats and will be fully stocked with all the props, tools, and items you’ll need for complete relaxation. Whether you book one hour, a few hours, a day retreat, or a weekend retreat, you’ll transcend from your busy life into a tranquil destination and leave your worries behind.
Every private session with me will include an extra hour in your session fee to enjoy and explore the property. In phase 1, we will have several secluded areas to reflect, read, discover meditation, and be inspired to journal, make art, or to simply be amidst nature. You’ll take the time to rejuvenate and use all your senses as you take in the view of the tree studded Appalachian Mountains. During the rainy season you’ll likely hear the soothing sounds of the waterfall in all its glory. A walking path will be available to meander throughout the foremost 10 acres to observe the waterfall for a leisurely walking meditation, a little exercise, or just a few silent moments to breath and connect to your deepest self.
We can’t wait to see you there! In the meantime, subscribe to my newsletter on my home page to keep up to date on all the happenings at Waterfall Yoga Therapy!
