Waterfall Yoga Therapy and Retreat Center

This week my husband has been in Northern Alabama with my dad, helping my dad relocate to the region that we will soon call our home. He has also taken some time to hunt for a builder and take a look at homes that are similar to the architectural plans we have decided on for our final home. In just 5 months, we will call the great state of Alabama our home. In just 2 years and 5 months we will call New Market, Alabama our forever home and the future home of Waterfall Yoga Therapy and Retreat Center.

Several years ago we were blessed to land an assignment in Alabama. We weren’t initially impressed, but the sweet people, the warm humid air, and the history and vast terrain of the state made us fall deeply in love. It was the first place we left that we missed dearly and wanted to go back to. From the Emerald Coast to the Smoky Hills and the ability to wear flip flops on Christmas, the state called to the depths of our hearts. We were smitten.

Now the Air Force has decided it is time for us to go home and we couldn’t be happier. Being stationed in Kansas the past two years, the state we were both born and raised in, has been a blessing. We have loved spending time with our family that we have missed for the past 16 years, but we are ready to go back to our sweet home of Alabama. Back to the southern drawl and the collared greens and the humidity that makes you feel like your lotion is in the air. I know you might think we are crazy if you love the dry air of Colorado or Arizona, but lucky for us, we both love the salty humidity and it’s great for our skin and our sinuses!

The rain has been heavy this year and the waterfall is powerful! Nestled against this majestic waterfall will sit my future retreat and yoga studio space. I hope you’ll visit me there for private yoga therapy or for a secluded and quaint retreat getaway where you can unwind and let your spirit shine free for a few days. You deserve it.
